Aronia Apple Sweetened

Søbogaard's Aronia jam is made from aronia berries, also known as aronia melanocarpa or black chokeberry. They are small dark berries that grow on a shrub of the same name.
Aronia berries are small, round and have a deep dark purple or black color. They sometimes resemble blueberries, but they are usually slightly larger and have a shinier surface.
Aronia berries have an intense, slightly bitter and dry flavor that can be overwhelming if eaten alone.
The jam has a slightly sour taste as it is not sweetened with sugar, but is sweetened with organic apple concentrate.
The jam can be used as a spread on bread, in a smoothie, as a topping for breakfast, on the cheese and dessert table or in baked goods.
