Danish honey with propolis

Propolis is a substance that honeybees make from resin. Propolis is collected by the bees to repair and reinforce the inside of the hive.

Propolis is made from wax, pollen, resin and essential oils.

Propolis has been used since the beginning of time. Pyramid builders in Egypt called it "black wax" and used it for embalming.

Honey should not be given to children under 1 year of age.
