Christian d. 4.´s stomach bitter

The Danish monarchy is among the oldest in the world and can be safely traced back to Gorm the Old † 958. Chr. 4 was king from 1588-1648 and is the longest reigning monarch. The recipe was said to have been found at Holbæk Apotek and contained 16 different herbs. In this bottle, both Kalmus root and Paradise seed are missing, as these may no longer be used.

Cumin Aquavit

Søbogaard Cumin Aquavit is a solid, traditional type of schnapps, where the cumin flavor comes to the fore. Like the other Økvavits, this one is moody. Should only be enjoyed on occasions you wish to remember fondly.

Søbogaard's organic RØM has a classic sweet rum taste, with a slightly smoky taste.

We have been hunting for a good rum for many years and now we found one we like.

Organic Cherry Rum

At Store Voldsgård, just south of Herning, Niels and his helpers make Søbogaard's cherry rum. The rum is made from organic sour cherries, grown in Zealand by one of the few Danish growers of organic sour cherries.
At Store Voldsgård, the rum goes through a long process, where it is continually added to good mood and to tickle the stomach. The room has endless uses - we just like it as it is.

Søbogaard's "The First" is the recipe for the first written down spiced brandy in 1557. "... a man must take brandy that is brandy, it is aff good wine, half a pot here outside shall be poured four lots of quite good Theragelse Zedefer Angelica".

Ole Jensen Aquavit

Rarely can the origin of a single word in the Danish language be traced back to a single person - a single event. But one morning in 1999, the word økvavit floated between someone's lips for the first time. Big Bang editor, celestial poet, goldsmith, astronomer, inventor and philosopher Ole Jensen uttered the word here without warning: Økvavit. Later, the word has become a natural part of many Danes' vocabulary.

The Little Mermaid

With its white screens, the shelf lights up the midsummer landscape, while the marsh wife brews and romance blossoms. Is there anything more Danish? Perhaps a trip along our coasts with the thorny sea buckthorn. The elderflower and sea buckthorn are the inspiration for this spirit. Other herbs and berries are only known to the mermaids, Søbogaard and a few others. Over the years, Søbogaard has been on good terms with many mermaids.
