Demerara sugar takes its name from an area in what is today known as Guyana. This is where they started growing and selling demerara sugar in large quantities. Our demerara sugar is extracted from sugar cane and is hardly processed. It yields some great grains, with a soft and creamy syrupy flavor – perfect for baking. 1 kg.
Golden sugar is slightly lighter than demerara sugar, and it has a smaller grain size. Golden sugar is extracted from sugar cane and has a sweet buttery taste. Golden sugar is not as strong in taste, and is therefore perfect for everything you normally use regular sugar for. 1 kg.
